Some more interesting stuff!

Hello again!

So many of my good friends have been awesome about giving me good advice and telling me where to get great advice online, so I think if there's one thing I can do to repay them it might be to share that info with others!

So, from my pal Donavon Young comes a few awesome sites:

http://gim.acanaday.com/

http://www.polycount.com/

http://eat3d.com/

From Armando Durruthy comes some more awesome sites:

http://www.massiveblack.com/MBwebolution/index.html

http://www.thegnomonworkshop.com/

3Dtotal.com

http://theartdepartment.org/

conceptart.org   (awesome hub and reference site)

    From Yang Moua,

http://www.fengzhudesign.com/ (great photoshop tutorials! and FREE!)

    And finally from Nate Hamel

Deviantart.com (I know, I know, not a tutorial site, but a site that has TONS of great reference and one I visit frequently :3)
[Also check out natehamel.com if you want to see some awesome art!]

I think these are all really great resources for artists, both 3D and traditional, and even though they are probably all pretty well known, I think its important to go get the latest info from reliable and valid sources.
I's sure plenty of other people have given me great advice on places to visit for tutorials and other stuff but for now I think this should be more than enough to feed anyone's art tutorial needs! :D

Cheers!

Lucas

I've decided that even though I've been piling my plate full of new stuff to take on I'm still not motivated enough to do art every day, so I'm going to do a One-A-Day!
Meaning I have to do one piece of finished art per day, for some amount of time. For now lets just say one month. Whether it be digital or traditional, I have to do one per day. Lets hope I can keep it up...
I start tomorrow! Wish me luck! :3

Some stuff to help out

So I've come across a couple of things lately that I've found pretty interesting and informative. And, seeing how good things should be shared, I've decided to share with anyone who happens across this blog. First, is a link to Sean Murphy's DeviantART page, which is where he has given a bunch of good tips on comic art.

Second, a link to some portfolio tips from a great concept artist, Noah Bradley:

Hope this helps anyone trying to be awesome at comic books, and those who wish to make their portfolio better.

Also, some art!
